Decisions are hard.

They are hard because we are wired to not like loss, and every decision means giving up something else that might be valuable to us either now, or in the future. And we cannot know or compute all the possible outcomes.

Some people search tirelessly for the best possible decision, but searching also has costs.

A trick to making good decisions is to clearly understand what you value, and only invest in what you value. Another is to stop searching for alternatives once a good enough solution has been found.
